Planning a conversation

Participating in a Conversation is not a huge commitment. It is a focused commitment.

Leading is actually very simple and straightforward. It only requires you to gather people together and to share the instructions.

We intentionally ask people to both attend and lead because in order to create our best community, we need to create more opportunities for all people in our community to understand their important and unique role as leaders in our community.

Here's how to plan a conversation:

  1. Assemble a team of about 3 people.
  2. Pick a date, time, and location for a 60 minute Conversation.
  3. Each person choose people to invite, aiming for:
  4. 3-7 confirmations per person (max of 20 invitees, min of 10)
  5. a diverse cross sections of different communities you're part of (the fewer people you're inviting who know each other, the better)
  6. An email should go out (here's an example) explaining how the event will work and what to expect.
